Still Alive

Okay, so once again I am back, apologizing for missing 3 weeks of updates. There was kind of a bus crash and then a lot of videogames came out that no self respecting gamer wouldn’t buy and so there will possibly maybe, kinda, sorta be a tennsie weensie chance that i will update at some point this week.

Back Into the Swing of Things

So yeah. I do believe that my last post was quite awhile ago. Well a new comic will be up by the weekend, I can promise you, in fact it is being scanned right now as I type. Seriously… in a fashion… yeah. I’ve been playing a lot of fantasy related vidjamagames lately, including MapleStory and Lost Odyssey. MapleStory is a MMORPG (muh-mor-puh-guh) for the PC, and for you non-gamers who read this that is a Mass Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game. MapleStory is FREE, and when i say FREE i mean FREE. you don’t have to pay for JACK-DIDDLEY unless you want to deck out your character in fancy but completely useless duds. I currently have a character in each class of Mage, Thief, Bowman, and Warrior, and will sure as hell have a new one in the Pirate class when it comes out. So if you’re in the mood for something to take up some free time you may have then download maplestory, for FREE (no money needed), at their homepage http://maplestory.nexon.net/. And if you’re wondering, no i am not being bribed to advertise this, why would i be when i have about 5 readers?

Lost Odysey, on the other hand, is a more Final Fantasy-esque sort of game and is an Xbox 360 exclusive. However it is Final Fantasy-esque not in the characters or story, but in the animation and battle controls and the text that you need a magnifying glass to see. This fantasy game is a Western made fantasy game, the best kind in my opinion, without all the gay haircuts, gay clothes, and gay but seemingly hederosexual men who look uncannily like women in said haircuts and clothes of the homosexual variety. Any who, Lost Odyssey is the story of a guy named Kaim who is an immortal. he then gets bushwacked by another immortal and then he and all of his immortal and mortal with divine protection buddies go on a 4-disc-long quest to own the bushwacking immortal (who has a strange resemblance to my cat) in the ass. each disc lasts about eleven hours the first time you play it, depending on how often you die, and it’s a good thing to play in between intervals of whatever you do, like read. I have so foar beaten 2 and  half discs of this magnificent, plastic-occupying program and have found myself rather enjoying it, except for the insane boss battles that you could swear were programmed to be unbeatable.

New James Bond movie coming out soon. and no news on Brutal Legend yet, although i think replaying Psychonauts will tide me over until Double Fine finally finishes BL.

La chacolate

I work in a candy store as a teller. There we sell these little chocolates that are balls of peanut butter dipped in chocolate, which we call buckeyes, like the nut. We box them in sets of six and display them on the counter. I made around fifty of these boxes and now I can’t get the smell out of my nose. For the love of the higher power, some one kill me… you never think you can hate peanut butter and/or chocolate until you work in a candy store. I did buy some nifty things for my trouble though, such as Gears of War. It’s awesome.

Rude, Crude, and Socially Unacceptable!

I’m drawing up pencil sketches for a fake award show that was conceived when viewing photos of one of my friends being slated as “The King of Bowling”. The 2008 King Awards are being drawn, possibly even inked!!!!! But not colored…

Um… i really have no new news about popular culture today. Except that Too Human came out today and immediately got slammed by reviewers and fans alike. I may rent it. I may buy it just to get the acheivements. I played the demo and enjoyed it, to a point. The combat mechanics are sketchy to the max and the fact that it practically vomits loot all over you, like Halo 3 vomits massive amounts of bloom into your face, doesn’t nececarily help. If I don’t like it I can always return it for store credit, I guess.

Actually, one more tidbit that I forgot about was that i saw Tropic Thunder on Sunday. If you have any fashion of socially acceptable morals then do not, repeat, DO NOT go see this movie. It has its funny moments but is otherwise full of satiric humor and drug abuse. I thought it was bloody wonderful. This comment earned me the “are you crazy” look, which I receive frequently.

Caution: May Be Considered to Possibly Be Just a Bit Racist!

This may possibly be one of the funniest things that I have come up with. It may also be slightly racist. You decide.

Yeeeeaaaaaaahhh….. what started out as an in-class doodle of a Mexican man in all his stereotypical glory turned into an advertisement. Beelzebub is reserving a place for me already.

I got bored yesterday and broke out the “Ocean’s Eleven” movies that I own and watched them both back to back. I maintain my claim that the Ocean’s movies are some of the best, especially Thirteen because of it’s musical score some of which I actually have on my MP3 player. I even think Twelve had some entertaining moments. It’s a shame that Burnie Mac died recently, may he rest in peace. I wonder if they’ll do Ocean’s Fourteen without him…

On hold

Okay. So the issue is that I no longer have access to a good art program and will most likely have to wait until my school year starts again to make any comics. This will be taking place in early september because my school is unlike the public schools of my state and does not start at the same time as they do. it also has copies of Photoshop CS3 on some pretty nice computers that i have access to every schoolday during lunch and after school unless i have a class in the tech lab. i will post the occasional doodle in un-photoshopped or halfway photoshopped form and hopefully that’ll work out. i’ll just have to wait and see.

The Prince and the Potter

So the trailer for the new Harry Potter movie came out. Personally I’m hoping that it won’t bomb as badly as the last one did, but who can really know? If I remember correctly the sixth book was just as if not more annoying and angsty than the fifth one, but maybe they’ll cut all that out and just focus on the magical bits of it, which there were a lot of in this one.
